The DADs charity football team will reform as DADs 22, a squad of players aged 16+ made up of dads, beneficiaries and business partners to play several fundraising matches to support the DADs participation in the Football for Hope Festival 2010.
Each player will be responsible to raise no less than £1000 over the year, raising a minimum of £22,000. Matches will be played bi-monthly against charity teams, training and keep fit sessions are also being planned.
Other events organised by DADs 22 will be World Cup Dinners in 2010 and Corporate 5's. A new kit will be used for the project period.
Proposed matches will be played in Hull, Liverpool, London and Berlin under Fair Play rules which is no referrees, this will mean that the matches will be played in the spirit of the DADs beneficiary participation at the Football for Hope Festival in Alexandra, Johannesburg, South Africa, an official FIFA event alongside the World Cup 2010.
